Amanda Staveley has reiterated her interest in buying Newcastle United.



“I am hugely proud of Man City – we are not looking at creating another Man City in terms of the huge levels of investment they’ve had on players.



Backed by PCP Capital Partners, Staveley has revealed she has no issues with Mike Ashley and would be keen to take United off his hands.

"But what I love about Man City is how they have invested so well in Manchester, in the area.

It’s still an interesting club to us, the fans are fantastic, but we are looking at a lot of clubs.” Ashley recently suggested that Peter Kenyon and his US-consortium were the ideal fit for United.

Ashley has so far failed to sell the club despite public claims he is keen to move on - a declaration that is being questioned by Toon supporters.
