The American company linked to a Newcastle United takeover could be set to sell its stake in French club Bordeaux over a reported disagreement when it comes to investment.

The likes of GACP and Mexican company Orlegi Sports are yet to do so.

Mike Ashley is thought to still be a willing seller of Newcastle United if someone can match his asking price.

GACP was linked with a move for Newcastle United alongside Peter Kenyon earlier this year when a brochure inviting investors to get on board was leaked to journalists.

20minute.FR reports GACP is willing to sell its minority stake of 13.6% to King Street.

DaGrosa has yet to comment on the brochure, while any takeover interest has so far failed to come to anything.

French media report that GACP president Joseph DaGrosa, the man credited with an interest in United, wants to invest heavily in the Ligue 1 club but the majority shareholder - Kings Street - does not.
