When Dennis Bergkamp scored at St James' Park on March 2, 2002, it was evident almost immediately that he had scored one of the most remarkable goals in Premier League history.

It is a moment that has gone down in Premier League folklore and it is one Newcastle fans have tried to forget over the years.



It proved to be a vital goal en route to Arsenal sealing the Premier League title that season - particularly given Newcastle had genuine title aspirations of their own that year.



So when Arsenal legend Ian Wright travelled to Amsterdam earlier this month to interview his former strike partner for his YouTube channel, there was little chance of Wrighty leaving without asking Bergkamp the question.

"For me, I had one thing on my mind to go to the goal," Bergkamp said.

But an exquisite first touch with his left foot flicked the ball to Dabizas' right.
