Chelsea moved six points clear of Arsenal in the race for the Champions League after battling past Newcastle on Saturday evening.

Pedro chipped home from a long David Luiz pass in only the ninth minute but the hosts had it far from all their own way. A bullet header from Ciaran Clark brought Rafa Benitez's side level five minutes before the break.

It took a spectacular curling strike from Willian to separate the two sides and secure a vital three points for Maurizio Sarri and Co to go clear in fourth.
