Chris Hughton is held in high regard on Tyneside after guiding Newcastle United to promotion before leading them to a mid-table position before being, many would say, unfairly dismissed.

Having arrived at the club under Kevin Keegan in 2008, Hughton took the reigns in the summer of 2009 after club legend Alan Shearer wasn't offered the job full-time.

They always enjoy training, and coaches enjoy setting up training and taking training sessions.

Shearer had failed to stop United falling into the Championship following Keegan's exit's at the start of the season.

That summer United spent well under £10 million but despite the lack of signings, Hughton had managed to guide his side to 11th in the table when he was fired and replaced by Alan Pardew.

Hughton was put in temporary charge but quickly did enough to persuade Mike Ashley he was the right man to lead United back to the Premier League.

In an interview with Coaches Voice, Hughton discusses his first management job in the game, the difficulty of dealing with relegation and what he took away from his sacking.
