Sean Longstaff has been repeatedly linked with a move to Manchester United.

With chaos raging at Newcastle United, if Manchester United did put a £25m bid in, it would be interesting to see what Mike Ashley would do.

The Swansea winger has completed an £18m move but it was reported that both Sean Longstaff and Newcastle United had made clear they weren’t interested in any deal this summer, despite claims of Manchester United being prepared to pay £20m for the midfielder.

‘Manchester United are convinced Sean Longstaff wants a move to Old Trafford – despite publicly declaring his commitment to Newcastle.

When Manchester United were first linked with Swansea’s Daniel James, Sean Longstaff was another claimed to be on a preferred list of Solskjaer signings.

The Old Trafford hierarchy and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said to be looking at an approach this summer of investing in young promising players.
