Miguel Almiron will be a star at St James’ Park as soon as he scores, according to the Atlanta boss who sold him for £21m.

The Paraguay playmaker has yet to find the net in his 18 games since joining Newcastle from the MLS champions in January.



But Atlanta president Darren Eales, a former Tottenham director, revealed Almiron also had a slow start in Georgia.
