Mo Diame says he’s sure of two things: that Newcastle United will survive in the Premier League and that Martin Dubravka was fouled for Wolves’ controversial late equaliser which has seen some raise questions about Martin Dubravka’s recent form.

Diame – who has revealed the reason for his extended absence was not the groin issue suffered during the Manchester United game but that he broke a bone in his foot during training – was a welcome returnee for the Wolves clash.

And although he couldn’t unseat in-form Sean Longstaff and Isaac Hayden, he is ready for the run-in.

And Diame thinks “belief” is going to be key.

The Man United game was just my groin, but I was fine after two or three days.

I think it’s good for the team.

“It’s always positive to spend some time together, because of the (normal) routine of going to training and going home.
