Striker Yoshinori Muto has completed his loan move from Newcastle to Eibar, the Premier League club have announced.

After such a difficult time at Newcastle over the past couple of years, this could be just the move Muto needs to get his career back on track.

As things stand, there are just under two years remaining on Muto’s contract with Newcastle, securing his future at St James’ Park until the end of the 2021/22 season.

Indeed, given he will still have a year left on his contract with Newcastle when this loan expires, if Muto can find some form and confidence during his time at Eibar, then this may yet be a deal that is able to benefit the Magpies themselves next season.

You feel the forward is in a good position to get the game time he needs following this move to Eibar, where he may well relish the prospect of being a key player for a team, having been down the pecking order at Newcastle.

Now, Muto looks set to et the chance to enjoy more regular game time elsewhere, after it was confirmed that the 28-year-old has completed a season-long loan move to Eibar, meaning he will now spend the 2020/21 campaign in La Liga.

Muto has struggled for opportunities and form since joining the Magpies from Mainz two years ago, with the Japanese international scoring just once in 25 league appearances for the club.
