Mike Ashley's presence at Stamford Bridge captured the attention of Newcastle United fans, as the Magpies owner returned from his two-month hiatus to see the team's shortcomings first hand.

Pedro's early goal had threatened a long evening for Newcastle in west London, but the Magpies rallied well and Ciaran Clark headed the visitors level from a corner.

After the match, Newcastle players and fans showed their appreciation for one another as they both shared warm applause.
