The video will start in 8 Cancel Rafa Benitez has admitted it is too early to talk about a possible loan exit for his current number 2 Freddie Woodman.

The England Under-21 international is deputising for Karl Darlow as a back-up goalkeeper but wants to get out on loan in January.

Leeds United have been linked with Woodman but Benitez, who was aware of the Yorkshire club's interest, is not talking about that particular deal just yet.

As it stands, Woodman is a heartbeat away from getting on the field in the Premier League with Karl Darlow sidelined due to an elbow injury.

Benitez says he has faith in Woodman and commented: "It is too early for Darlow but it doesn't change too much.

Benitez rates Woodman but he will be entering the latter part of his contract in 2019 and he has been scouted by Arsenal in the first half of the season.

He said: "At the moment we don't talk about our players leaving.
