The 2019/20 Premier League table is eight games old and the table is starting to take shape.

Newcastle's win over Manchester United has given their start to the campaign under Steve Bruce a slightly better feel after the low of the 5-0 defeat at Leicester, and lifted the Magpies out of the early relegation zone.

At the bottom end of the table, Norwich City, Watford, Southampton and Everton are the early-season strugglers.

The table, shown by Transfermarkt, shows just how close the battle between Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp's teams is.

The Reds strong start to the season could end City's stranglehold on the crown with Jurgen Klopp's side taking full advantage as City juggle a host of injuries to key players.

Leicester City occupy fourth spot, with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur's poor start to the season leaving them way off the pace.

Liverpool sit top of the division and hold an eight-point lead over Manchester City after a 100 per cent start to the season.
